new things

New things in the Myers household!

Ben and I have new callings!  Ben is now an Assistant Ward Clerk over Finances and I am the new Relief Society Secretary.  We are excited and we love the ward that we are a part of.  After just a few weeks we have already seen our schedules get a little busier!

Also, I have a little change at work.  What I want to be doing is Activities.  When I was hired, they only had room for me to do Activities one day per week, and I've been working in the Dining Room and at the Front Desk other days.  Well, as of tomorrow, I am a full-fledged Activities Assistant and I will do Activities 4 days each week!  Probably a 5th at the Front Desk, but I'm not sure yet.  Anyway, woo hoo!

And here's a picture for good measure.  Giant's game a few weeks ago with the awesome hats they were giving out.

if you only knew

I didn't love my body for a lot of years, but I love it now.  I wish I could instill in every human being a love for their body, a precious gift from our Heavenly Father while we're on this earth.  If you only knew how wonderful and how loved you are for being exactly who you are.

my brother is a missionary now

It was a unique weekend in just about every way, and now Scott is on his way to the MTC to prepare to serve in the Florida Tallahassee Mission.

muir woods

Ben and I have several day trip adventures that we would love to do, but because I work on Saturdays they just haven't been possible.  We both were off of work on July 5th and we just had to take one of our trips!

Marin County/Muir Woods.

We stopped in Mill Valley for some excellent fish tacos.  I am totally on a taco kick this summer.

And then we went to Muir Woods National Monument to hike.  It was so beautiful there!  So green and moist because of the Bay Area fog.  Most of the 3 mile hike was in the shade too, so, uh, that was awesome!

After hiking, we drove a little ways on beautiful Highway 1 to Stinson Beach for our picnic dinner.

more hawaii pictures

This is my floppy sun hat that I wore every day in a concerted (and successful) effort to avoid sunburn.

This is the shave ice that we had several times a day.  Oh and my cute dad and brother.

This is another cute brother.  I love this picture!

These are brothers again.  Scott leaves for his mission in 10 days!

This is the cutest sister to have ever walked the planet.  I mean, come on.  This is a great picture.

This is . . . yeah.
